Austrian Star Alexander Eder Releases ‘Unplugged (Live)’ Album

If you haven’t listened to the powerhouse vocals of Austrian musician Alexander Eder, he is a star you should undoubtedly seek out. Delivering a nostalgic power to his vocals, the charismatic musician made his name on The Voice of Germany before going on to release three studio albums, and most recently his Unplugged (Live) album.

Alexander has been quick to build up an international fanbase thanks to his singles 7 Stunden, Ganz normal gestört, Für diesen Moment and Therapie. He most recently released studio album was Quer durch die Bank, released back in September 2025. The handsome chisseled star tackles many of these hits on his impressive stripped back new Unplugged album which showcases his star power, impressive vocals, and the emotive sentiment behind his biggest tracks.

On the album, Alexander shares: “We wanted to create something musically extraordinary for this special venue, and during the tour we met in the rehearsal room every free minute to rearrange all the pieces specifically for this evening – thanks in part to the fantastic work of Lukas Husak and my guitarist. Going to so much trouble for one concert and bringing in three new musicians is probably ‘perfectly normal’ – but for me it’s a labor of love!”

Alexander chats about switching things up for his latest tour, noting: “Anyone who knows us knows we can be loud and wild – but with this concert, we wanted to show a different side. With all the talented artists on stage and the intimate setting, we perhaps succeeded even more directly in connecting with the audience in the castle arena, forgetting everyday life, and letting ourselves be carried away by the music. The weather, the location, the standing ovations – it was simply unique.”
