You might remember our interview with the talented Flo Chase back in 2025, where Flo teased some of the music we could expect, and we are delighted that some of this has now arrived. Flo drops his new single Come Out, a track lifted from his upcoming third studio album.
Come Out sees Flo bring a soft and soulful vocal to the fold, atop optimistic, guitar-driven production and an alternative reggae beat. The Australian-raised, LA-based star showcases an undeniable storytelling ability, drawing us into the emotions of the track whilst still ensuring the number is a catchy and addictive musical earworm. Guest contributions from Hew G. add further texture and originality to the track, which shines as one of Flo’s strongest yet.
The musician shares: ““Come Out” is a song about freedom – not just the freedom to walk away, but the freedom to truly live, to let love flow and let it go when the time comes. I wrote it in a space where I was learning that love isn’t about possession; it’s about connection. And sometimes, the most powerful act of love is setting someone free, wishing them peace, even if that peace takes them away from you.“
The star was inspired by the power of the ocean on the track: “I wanted it to feel like the ocean – calm one moment, storming the next, but always flowing forward. Reggae has this beautiful way of holding pain and joy in the same breath, and that’s exactly what this song is – heartbreak wrapped in light.”
On the message behind the track, Flo shares: “It’s me talking to myself, but it’s also for anyone who’s ever felt trapped – in love, in fear, or in their own mind. It’s about stepping back into the sun and remembering that life was never meant to be lived in chains, emotional or otherwise. Because in the end, life’s too short not to dance through it, to feel it all, to live it free.”
Flo adds: “I’m beyond excited to finally share this song with the world. It’s been a long time in the making and marks a really special chapter in what’s to come – a sound that feels closer to my heart, more honest, and more alive than ever before. ‘Come Out’ is just the beginning, and I can’t wait for people to feel the energy, warmth, and message behind it. At its core, this song isn’t just about heartbreak – it’s about liberation. It’s about finding peace in the chaos…”
