RISING TALENT

Austin Giorgio Brings Cinematic Gravitas On New EP ‘Lovers Never Die’

Austin Giorgio

Austin Giorgio brings his musical gravitas and cinematic production to new EP Lovers Never Die. The New Yorker impresses on the four-track set, which arrives ahead of his upcoming headline tour in the US and support dates with Voila in the UK and Europe.

Opening with the moody piano-driven Gentleman’s Way and continuing with Pour, Vienna and When I Sleep, the collection stands as some of Austin’s strongest musical work. These tracks are powerful, dramatic and utterly commanding pop cuts.

Austin shares: None of this happens without the people who helped me bring this world to life. Andrew Capra helped me shape Vienna, Pour and When I Sleep, and was the one who pushed the idea of bringing a full string quartet into this world. His fingerprints, as always, are all over these records. Gentleman’s Way was the first time my touring world crossed into the studio. Colton, Hayden and Clemens played on the record, with Noah there helping us capture the day. When I Sleep began with me early last year, but when Noah West and Tia Sillers came in, they gave it the dynamics and life I knew it needed.

He continues: Thank you to Interstate Music for always giving me a home to create in downtown Nashville, to Jake Hartsfield and Bryan Cook for making these records sound the way they do, and to Shervin, Ray, and everyone behind the imagery and visuals you’ve seen so far. And, of course, Peter my right-hand man, and everyone at BMG helping push this strange little world of mine out into the real one. I’m incredibly lucky to have such thoughtful, talented people around me.
