A*Teens Reinvent Roxette Classic With New Single ‘You Got The Look’

A*Teens comeback with their Melodifestivalen anthem Iconic, has been one of the undoubted pop highlights of 2026. The band waste no time getting their follow-up single You Got the Look out, sampling fellow Swedish pop legends Roxette hit The Look on the number.

The band reflected on the success of Iconic:  “Not having released a new song in over 22 years and then getting the enormous response that we have received so far for “Iconic” feels touching and overwhelming. The fact that the song also became our first number one in Sweden since “Mamma Mia” makes it really feel like the circle is closing.” Given this, the demand was certainly there for a follow-up.

You Got The Look is written by Per Gessle, Hanna Hedman, Alicia Ericson, Kristoffer Fogelmark and Albin Nedler, and produced by Alicia Ericson, Josef Vallander, Albin Nedler and Kristoffer Fogelmark. A*Teens share: “We feel incredibly proud to be releasing “You Got The Look”. We really think that together with the producers we have managed to make this song ours. It honestly feels completely unreal that we have been able to open Roxette’s treasure chest. “The Look” is one of the best Swedish pop songs ever made! To be able to pay tribute to the Swedish music wonder in this way is very honorable.”

A*Teens have the full support of Roxette star Per Gessle on their reinterpretation: “Time passes and pop music, just like everything else, changes. I’m glad that A*Teens managed to make a modern and lively version of “The Look” 38 years after it was born. A bit magical!”

Let’s hope there is plenty more to come from A*Teens. We need an album!
