Aston Merrygold Unveils Soulful ‘Version Of Love’

Aston Merrygold

Aston Merrygold continues to go from strength to strength with his solo material, with his latest track Version Of Love showcasing another string to his bow. The JLS star has impressed with his musical versatility on his solo releases, showcasing a skill when tackling pop, soul, R&B and dance-influenced vibes.

Version Of Love feels like Aston showcasing his more soulful R&B sound as he croons: “And if we were to kiss, if we were to touch / Baby, I could show you my version of love, girl” atop silky production, which he crafts alongside August Rigo. Both Aston and August co-write the track, which also comes accompanied by a Speech version inspired by Aston’s wife.

The musician shares: “Yes, this song comes out next week but this version above anything else is a symbol… the original was the very first song I ever wrote about you with a friend of mine… I remember waxing lyrical about you and he said say what you feel… 15 years later here we are! This version is just part of my wedding speech to you, the most honest words I’ve ever said in front of all our loved ones… the most incredible day and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!”
