Alison Goldfrapp Delivers Europop Heaven on Her Latest ‘Flux’ Track ‘Hey Hi Hello’

Following on from Find Xanadu, Sound & Light and Reverberotic, now Alison Goldfrapp delivers Hey Hi Hello from her upcoming album Flux. The track sees the Strict Machine hitmaker collaborate with co-writers Joel Sjöö and Stefan Storm, with Storm and Richard X producing.

The new track arrives after Alison collaborated with Norwegian electropop duo Röyksopp on a remix of her first Flux single Find Xanadu. Her latest, sounds perhaps the closest to the traditional Goldfrapp sound, rooted in the joyous nostalgia of the Head First LP, yet exploring new sonic spaces for Alison.

Alison shares: “I think it has a Euro kind of sound to it. A simplicity too, I like that it’s melodic, up and at the same time a little melancholic.”

Talking about releasing Flux as an independent artist, Alison shares: “If you’re lucky enough to have the option, owning your own masters feels like a no-brainer these days. While being a solo independent artist comes with its own set of challenges, it truly suits me and has given myself and the people I work with a sense of empowerment and invigoration for this album.”

See the tracklist below. The album is available to order in numerous formats from Alison’s website. Flux is released on August 15th.
