Misery is set to feature on Alex’s upcoming EP, with the track shining as a bouncy, high-energy pop release while allowing an undercurrent of melancholy and unease to run through its imagery-rich lyrics. Alex co-writes with David Pramik, Anthony Watts and Sarah Troy, with Pramik also producing the track. The result is a summer-ready pop gem, elevated by intoxicating layered vocal effects from Alex that create an expansive and assertive sound.
Misery follows Alex’s previous 2026 single Not Even Gone, a stripped-back, piano-driven ballad, with both tracks showcasing the Canadian star’s musical versatility.
