AJ Mitchell Returns With Vulnerable New Single ‘Hold You Up’

AJ Mitchell releases perhaps one of his most vulnerable tracks in recent years with his latest single Hold You Up. The track marks AJ’s first new music since his single Try Again and his 2025 album As Far As The Eye Can See.

AJ shared: ‘This song means a lot to me. Hope it finds you when you need it.’ Adding: ‘I wrote this for the people who hide it well,’ with the lyrics tapping into personal struggles and the pressures of life. AJ wrote the song with Kareem James, whilst production is helmed by Blake Straus and Mark Majore.

The lyrics tap into this theme of emotional vulnerability, with AJ singing: ‘So please, don’t let me hold you up / I know you wanna float in this moment (Aah-aah) / But I’m drowning even though I don’t show it (Show it)’, the number resonating through its quiet impact.

AJ has continually impressed with his musical output over the years, with the 24-year-old having two albums to his name, SKYVIEW and As Far As The Eye Can See, not to mention countless singles, racking up over 1 million monthly Spotify listeners.
