Italian star AIELLO delivers his first new m,usic since his standout Sanremo performance as the duet partner of Leo Gassman, where he performed Era già tutto previsto. Now, the Italian musical heartthrob returns with his own solo single GIGANTI, a collaboration with co-writers Donato Santoianni, Luca Giura and Simone Sproccati.
AIELLO shares: ‘GIGANTI is a declaration of love that I’d like to dedicate to someone one day, and, in all honesty, that I’d also like to receive from someone. It’s a particularly unusual manifesto of love for the times we live in. It’s maturity, an act of courage that surprises, breaks the mould, and overturns points of view. It’s the awareness that the only way to build is to stay, to no longer run away, to make peace with your monsters.’
He adds: ‘The song ends with a question and an answer that, in my opinion, are the cornerstone of existence: have you made peace with your family? I’ve made peace with mine.’ Speaking about the lyrics of GIGANTI, AIELLO shared: ‘Giganti has some of the most beautiful lyrics I’ve ever written. I’m very proud of this song and happy to finally be able to let everyone hear it.’
GIGANTI sees AIELLO’s powerhouse, raw vocals combine with cinematic, grandiose production from Marcello Grilli and Marcello Guava, making it one of the musician’s strongest singles to date. AIELLO is expected to release a new album in the coming months, marking three years since he released his third LP Romantico.
