Agnes Brings Electro Punk Energy on Thrilling New Single ‘MILK’ Ahead of New Album

Agnes delivered something truly enthralling in her recent single Balenciaga Covered Eyes, a ferocious blend of arthouse dance pop and she continues to challenge musical expectations with her follow-up MILK.

Working with Vincent Pontare, Hannah Wilson, Kerstin Ljungström and Frans Bryngel, Agnes delivers a punky-energy in MILK, a playfully confidenct pop anthem that celebrates choosing your own destiny. The Swedish songstress sings: “I turn milk into butter and butter into money, and with the money honey I create the life that I like,” against pounding electronic percussion.

On the construction of the single, Agnes shares: “It all started with a text that resembled a chant, which then built up and became MILK. It’s about a person who hungrily takes on life – someone who is guided by their inner compass, by creativity and pride.”

Agnes will be releasing her follow-up to 2021 album Magic Still Exists this year, with expectations sky-high for the follow-up for which the star has assembled a top team of creatives, she notes: “After my last album, I found some gems – people I really wanted to continue working with. I wanted to keep it to a small group to maintain that intimate feeling this time too. It allowed me to push both myself and others even further. We pushed boundaries and dared to experiment.
