After their absence in the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv, Bulgaria announce their return with Victoria. The singer will be hoping to beat the success of 2017 act Kristian Kostov and his song Beautiful Mess which was runner-up.
Who is she?
22 year old Victoria Georgieva is a former The X Factor Bulgaria contestant, reaching Week 9 of the live shows. The persistent singer would have to audition three times to reach it this far, yet this eventually paid off. The singer eventually signed to Bulgarian label Monte Music with whom she has released her music with since 2016.
What are her previous hits?
“Nezavarshen Roman” was Victoria’s first charting hit, reaching #15 in her native nation’s charts.
She followed this with another Bulgarian langauge track, “Chast Ot Men,” which made it 28 in the charts in 2017.
“Stranni Vremena” was her third single which matched the same success as her 2017 Bulgarian hit.
Victoria released her debut English language track, “I Wanna Know” in 2019. The track showed her progression as an artist with a slick R&B pop flavoured melody and charismatic vocals.
