The Cypriot Broadcasting Organisation has announced the internal selection of Sandra Nicolas as their 2020 Eurovision Song Contest participant. Sandro follows previous stellar entries from the Mediterranean island nation from Eleni Foureira and Tamta. Whilst details regarding the singer’s track are thin on the ground, the song title and composer details should be released in the coming weeks.
Who is he?
The handsome Cypriot act was born in Heinsberg, Germany in 1996. He has auditioned for Germany’s version of the Got Talent franchise in 2015 and went on to serve as a contestant on The Voice of Germany in which he made it to the Sing Off round. Earlier this year he went on to represent the USA in New Wave – a Russian based international singing tournament in which he finished sixth.
What is his biggest hit?
Sandro’s version of In My Blood (originally sung by Shawn Mendes) was released earlier this year. He also performed an original track on New Wave, which you can watch below.
