Ryan Beatty’s 2018 debut album Boy in Jeans was one of the strongest debut pop albums in recent memory, and the singer has continued to shape its follow-up with new track Patchwork.
The polish of Boy in Jeans has been traded for a grimier sound on Patchwork and previously released track, Dark Circles. This lo-fi track packs an intimate closeness in Beatty’s intimate vocals and signals the direction that Beatty’s new solo material will be heading in.
