As someone with no idea who this star was until his stellar second album Portraits (really one of the best pop albums of 2019), it has been easy to strip Greyson Chance of the viral success that found him through his 2010 cover of Lady Gaga’s Paparazzi. The young artist shines as an original performer and songwriter in his own right and continues to do so with the first taste of his third album, new single, Boots.
Complete with a scintillating California desert set video, directed by Bobby Hanaford, Boots showcases further artistic development from Chance – feeling like much more of a pop event to any of his prior releases.
The thudding electric production paired with Chance’s smooth vocals make for an intoxicating, dreamy pop combination. Listen below.
