Music: Kesha Announces LP ‘High Road’ and ‘Raising Hell’ Single

Kesha returns in a blaze of glory with her latest single Raising Hell featuring Big Freedia, the first single from new album High Road – due January 10th 2020.

The video is a work of art in itself as Kesha plays a gawdy, camp televangelist caught in an abusive marriage. She accidentally takes matters into her own hands and goes on the run. It’s Southern Gothic camp by the way of John Waters which Luke Gilford directs.

Raising Hell is a complete triumph with the gospel-tinged chorus blending gorgeously with the brassy upbeat pop production. Big Freedia’s raps blend seamlessly with Kesha’s empowered vocals for a stunning pop experience.

The full fifteen song tracklist for High Road (which Kesha describes as “pure and utter debaucherous joy”) has also been released – which you can see below. The Brian Wilson and Sturgill Simpson track certainly has us the most intrigued – although we do love the concept of Kesha featuring Ke$ha,
