Niall Horan’s debut was a surprisingly assured pop debut that took many off guard with hits like Slow Hands and On the Loose. Therefore expectations are suitably raised for his sophomore album – headed by new single Nice To Meet Ya.
The track deviates from the sound of the former One Direction star’s first album, Flicker, instead opting for a breezy early-nineties inspired pop-rock sound. It is unclear if this will be reflective of the general sound of his follow-up album or if it will return to twanging country-pop style of his debut.
Nice To Meet Ya is penned by Horan, Julian Bunetta, Tobias Jesso, Jr. and Ruth-Anne Cunningham.
