Lindsay Lohan is currently conquering Australia with her judging role in reality-celebrity singing competition, The Masked Singer. She’s also been teasing her return to the music industry for a long time, reportedly signing with legendary disco label Casablanca Records.
Her new track Xanax is said to be her first release for the label, with the Lindsay’s Beach Club front-woman, delivering an all out pop bop. The sound is mature contemporary pop that touches concepts of vacuous LA parties and the anxiety associated.
It’s hoped that Xanax will be the first single from Lohan’s yet unannounced third album – following 2004’s Speak and 2005’s A Little More Personal (Raw). The singer’s most recent release before Xanax was the sublimely underrated Bossy, which was coincidentally used as the theme song to her short-lived (also underappreciated) MTV reality show, Lindsay’s Beach Club.
Xanax is yet to appear on streaming sites, but Lohan has released the song on her Instagram TV channel and is thought to be releasing two songs during her run on The Masked Singer.
