Steven Tyler has a voice so emotive that it’s perfect for country music, therefore the news that he has been in Nashville recording a full LP in the genre has us pretty excited.
We hadn’t expected to hear anything from the album until later this year, but the Aerosmith frontman has been quick to debut the first cut, Love Is Your Name. The track is a delightful slice of anthemic country with Tyler’s voice still rich in that unmistakable soul.
The first release marks an extreme deviation from the sound of Tyler’s last solo output – the fantastic, yet sorely underrated (It) Feels So Good – which you should revisit here ASAP.
