If like us you live for trashy sexy psychopath films like the recent The Boy Next Door and No Good Deed, then The Perfect Guy is likely to be right up your street.
The official synopsis tells us “The Perfect Guy follows a woman (Sanaa Lathan) who meets an IT expert (Michael Ealy), who seems to be the perfect guy. But after a sexually-charged courtship, she sees a violent side of him and dissolves the budding relationship. In a jealous rage and fueled by insane revenge, he disrupts her life.”
This one looks like it has its eyes squarely aimed at the African American demographic, and if No Good Deed’s success is anything to go by, it could do quite well. We’ll be happy if this delivers some basic thrills and over-the-top silliness.
This is scheduled to hit US theatres on September 11 and UK audiences on November 27.
