Five years since their split, legendary Norwegian pop band a-ha has reformed for a new album and world tour. In March, the Morten Harket lead group announced new album Cast in Steel would be arriving in September – and we have the first taste of their twelfth LP in Under the Make-up.
This lush ballad isn’t the synthy-power pop ballad that some might be expecting and has a distinctly cinematic style – baring more resemblance to Harket’s recent solo material than the band’s traditional sound. We’re still hoping the band chuck in a few bangers on their latest set – as let’s be honest, this is no Butterfly, Butterfly (The Last Hurrah) .
