Trailer: Mickey Rourke & Ryan Kwanten in Blunt Force Trauma

Ryan Kwanten prepares to battle with Mickey Rourke in upcoming DTV action flick Blunt Force Trauma. The official synopsis is as follows:

Professional dueler John (Ryan Kwanten) is losing the rush of excitement that once fueled his desire to succeed in his sport of choice. Only one man remains as his next worthy opponent, the legendary Zorringer, so John sets out on a journey for the ultimate contest. Along the way he meets Colt (Freido Pinto), a female duelist who is seeking revenge for the death of her brother. Together the two gunslingers travel from one shootout to another on a dangerous journey of love, violence and clandestine battles.

Whilst it might not look like an instant classic, we’re intrigued by the South American setting and brutal-looking direction from Ken Sanzel. Plus, the casting of Kwanten, Rourke and Pinto is pretty exciting, so we’ll certainly be giving this a look-in.

Blunt Force Trauma hits DVD on October 5th.
