It’s always nice when a song does exactly as it says on the tin and Jake Owen’s American Country Love Song does exactly that. The new track from the country star follows previous 2015 hit Real Life.
Whilst Real Life saw Owen opt for a more a pop-centric sound, American Country Love Song shifts back to a country-focus. The mid-tempo track is an immediately likeable slice of feel-good country in which Owen manages to channel that much-loved roughish charisma. The track and Real Life are set to feature on the singer’s latest album, due for release this Summer.
