This adaptaion of the Deborah Moggach book set in 17th Century Amsterdam “follows a married woman (Vikander) who begins a passionate affair with an artist (DeHaan) hired to paint her portrait. The lovers gamble on the booming market for tulip bulbs as a way to raise money to run away together.” The Other Boleyn Girl’s Justin Chadwick directs.
We got an overwrought and slightly campy vibe from the trailer so needless to say, we’re pretty excited.
