Australian Rising Talent Toby Hobart Tackles Heartbreak and Betrayal in New Single ‘Paranoia’

We recently brought you Aussie star Toby Hobart’s addictive pop anthem Cannibal and now the rising talent returns with an equally brilliant slice of pop, tinged with a hint of brooding darkness and heartbreak, Paranoia.

Toby co-writes the track with James Angus, and also co-produces with Angus and Ryan Allen, with the number tapping into themes of heartbreak rooted in a dishonest relationship. Toby croons: “You told me we would fall in love and move to sunny California / Where the things you liked to tell me keep me up like paranoia / So keep my name outside your mouth, and keep yours stuck on other boys / I know, I know, you don’t need to say a thing…” in the slick sing-a-long chorus.

Anticipation is high for a full album from Toby, with the star recently several standalone singles since 2020. The musician continues to prove a streaming hit with his tracks Feel the Same and Comedown hitting over 2 million Spotify streams.
