Fresh from the release of her lead single Find Xanadu, Alison Goldfrapp drops her second track from her sophomore album Flux. The new number is Reverberotic, co-produced by Alison, Swedish songwriter Stefan Storm with strings by violinist Davide Rossi. The album follows her triumphant debut solo album The Love Invention, with Flux arriving on August 15th.
Reverberotic is a fizzy electronic hit that combines the mystery of Goldfrapp’s Silver Eye album with the electronic pop cool of The Love Invention. Paired with Alison’s expectedly playful esoteric lyricism “Reverberotic/Wanna hear you again/Vibrating light/a supernatural ascent,” the number teases great things for the British synthpop queen’s new LP.
Talking about releasing Flux as an independent artist, Alison shares: “If you’re lucky enough to have the option, owning your own masters feels like a no-brainer these days. While being a solo independent artist comes with its own set of challenges, it truly suits me and has given myself and the people I work with a sense of empowerment and invigoration for this album.”
