Rising pop talents TIN, Lostchild, and Janethan all have their fingers on the pulse of what makes a great pop track through their own respective material—so joining forces as a trio undeniably allows some pop excellence to unfold. The musicians release Trust Your Touch, a sensual electronic pop number about giving in to desire and longing.
The track was penned by TIN back in 2015, inspired by immersing himself in the music of fellow queer pop talents Troye Sivan and Olly Alexander. Lostchild’s production taps into these themes of lust, with simmering electronics that complement the vocals and create a woozy, sensual ambience. This mood is channelled in the raunchy music video, which celebrates the world of kinks.
Janethan shares: “TIN is a trailblazer in the queer music scene, and Lostchild tracks are like a hit of poppers in your favourite club at 3 a.m. I don’t think anyone could have expected the synergy we had—or the song that’s about to be a menace to your playlists.”
TIN’s partner and regular creative collaborator Lostchild notes: “It was an honour not only to produce such an epic pop song as Trust Your Touch but also to feature on the track. Embracing my sexual identity through it was thrilling and empowering—I learned to express it in a brand-new way.”
Reflecting on the track and video’s construction, TIN says: “Trust Your Touch is about being hungry, but not knowing for what. Given I was more of a twink then, a lot of people assumed I was a bottom, and I went along with it. I wanted the music video to embody the curiosity and tension that comes with that kind of innocence—hence the lyric ‘Where do I go from here?’”
Trust Your Touch is a truly addictive anthem, paying homage to lustful desire with originality, wit, and undeniable pop finesse.
