JC Stewart has been consistently releasing high quality pop music for almost ten years, and now finally announces his debut album Space Hurts. The Irish musician teased the set with his Tomorrow EP earlier this year, but now gears up to release his full LP, spearheaded by the release of title track Space Hurts.
Space Hurts is written by JC alongside Foy Vance and Todd Clarke, with the singer-songwriter co-producing with Mark Schick. The slow-burning piano driven track showcases the Londonderry star’s absorbing vocals alongside emotive lyrics. The star croons “Cos space hurts / Whenever she’s not here / I crave her / And the darkness comes in near / She said when you coming back? / When you coming home? / I’ve been waiting all night for your call / Cos space hurts / Yeah, space hurts” in the number which simmers with a poignant intensity.
JC shares: “It only took me 10 years, but finally, my debut album is coming. It’s cliché, but I put every single bit of my heart, mind and soul into this record. There were so many challenges in getting this over the finish line but we’re here! And it’s good! I’m so excited for you to hear it. Your support GENUINELY means the world to me and I’m so honoured to have it. Space Hurts, the album, yours June 20th.”
Ahead of the album’s release, JC will also be hitting the road on a UK and Europe tour with dates listed here. You can pre-order the vinyl edition of Space Hurts here. See the full tracklist below.
