We have been eagerly awaiting the return of the lovely Kfir who has given us pop anthems such as Fan a Bitch, Gigolo and Somewhere Else. The NYC based star is a true Culture Fix favourite and we were truly delighted when Kfir began teasing his latest single Bathwater – an energetic pop anthem that draws influence from psychological thrillers, infectious dance beats and powerhouse vocals.
Kfir, Heaven Guanco, and Anthony Fonseca write the track, which is produced by Fonseca, the number chronicling the intense feelings of obsession that were captured in cinematic gems such as Saltburn and American Psycho. Kfir shared: “I wanted to capture the chaos of obsession in life. It’s not just about the beat—it’s about the emotions and mental landscapes that obsession triggers. BATHWATER is about pushing boundaries and taking listeners on a journey.”
Whilst Bathwater is a feast for the sonic palette, the music video is visual triumph that draws inspiration from classic artwork such as Bouguereau’s Dante and Virgil and 19th-century art. The rich classical inspired imagery sees the likes of Caravaggio meet the opulent yet punky aesthetics inspired by Emerald Fennell’s Saltburn. Yet this fusion feels entirely Kfir, who seamlessly blends the world of pop and dance with high art and visual magnetism.
Bathwater marks the first of a new musical chapter for Kfir who will be releasing a five track EP that continues to showcase his stellar artistry. Connect with Kfir below:
