Danish Singer Christopher Releases Vulnerable ‘Permanent Scars’ Ahead of European Tour, New Album ‘Fools Gold’

“Where it’s just everything you said in my head on repeat and I / Just can’t let it rest, silhouettes on the street at night / Like you never left, but you did, and I made it this far / Just know you left a permanent scar…” Christopher sings as he recounts lingering pain and emotional scars left by a past relationship on Permanent Scars. The Danish star co-writes with Celine Svanbäck and Jeppe London, whilst Jeppe London and Lauritz Christiansen produce.

The track follows Christopher’s recent run of singles including ONE, It Could Have Been Us (with Griff) and the recently released Lose A You. Sticking to a similar vibe as the previous track, the number sees Christopher croon atop a gentle guitar backing that builds into an emotive mid-tempo pop number which allows the Danish hunk to showcase his impressive pop vocals laced with a hint of vulnerability.

The musician shared with followers: “I’m truly overwhelmed by your messages and the support you’ve shown for Permanent Scars! The stories about the scars that stay with us—sometimes as beautiful memories, other times as lessons learned.” He continues: “Shooting the video for this song was an experience I’ll never forget! A super stressful one-take filmed on Santa Monica Beach during a golden sunset. No second chances, just one chance to try and capture the emotion of the song. Thank you for listening, for sharing, and for making this one feel special.”

Christopher will soon be heading out on tour across Europe and is currently gearing up to release his first studio album since 2021’s In My Blood. The album, Fools Gold, arrives on 2 May 2025. See the tracklist and cover art below:
