Following the never-ending smash that is Beautiful Things, Benson Boone returns with his first new music of the year with Sorry I’m Here For Someone Else. The number is co-written by Benson, Jack LaFrantz and Jason Evigan with the latter also producing the new song. This sees Benson collabte with the team that also worked with the fast-rising star on his debut album Fireworks and Rollerblades.
“I’m sorry, I’m here for someone else / It’s good to see your face / And I really hope you’re doing well / I hope you’re doing well / I’m sorry, I’m here for someone else / I wish that I could stay,” Benson sings on the track which is an immediate earworm and showcases Benson’s undeniable star power.
The lyrics see Benson pay tribute to a past love gently letting them down, while he expresses gratitude for the time they had together. The number is set to be the first taste of Benson’s upcoming new album which fans are labelling BB2.
