Colour us excited for Arnold Schwarzenegger’s latest film, Aftermath. The action icon has had a tough time of it since returning to the film world after his political work and never quite returned to his previous financial highs (although one could make a case that his work prior to his Governorship was met with a similar fate). Now, Schwarzenegger returns to quieter fare with this drama from Elliot Lester.
Two strangers’ lives become inextricably bound together after a devastating plane crash. Inspired by actual events, AFTERMATH tells a story of guilt and revenge after an air traffic controller’s (Scoot McNairy) error causes the death of a construction foreman’s (Arnold Schwarzenegger) wife and daughter.
This looks like the right move for the actor and if it keeps him out of Twitter scraps with the President, all the better.
Aftermath hits cinemas April 7th.
