Danish Music Icon Christopher Delivers Powerful New Single ‘Lose A You’

Christopher returns with brand new music in the form of his single Lose A You, a powerful guitar-driven pop song in which the Danish pop star lends his impeccable vocals and co-writes with Nathan Chapman. The track is Christopher’s first of 2025 and follows last year’s tracks Trouble (with Young Ji) and It Could Have Been Us (with Griff).

The powerful chorus has something of a singer-songwriter country-pop flavour as Christopher croons “You’ll never know / What it feels like to lose a you / I guess that makes you / The lucky one…” in lyrics, which like the musician’s best, have a strong emotional resonance. Produced by Emil Falk, Lose A You is expected to feature on Christopher’s as yet officially unannounced new album – his first studio album since 2021’s My Blood.

Christopher shared: “One of my absolute favorites is this song, which I wrote six months ago in Nashville. It’s been close to my heart ever since. The line, ‘It’s way worse to lose a you than to lose a me,’ deeply resonated with me, and it became the foundation for the entire song. That single phrase brought the essence of the song to life. At the time, I was spending a lot of time away from my family, and the fear of losing the person I love most made this song feel incredibly personal and close to my heart. If you’ve got an irreplaceable person in your life, this song is for them.”

The video for Lose A You was shot in California, with Christopher sharing “We drove 1,000 miles across California to shoot the music video for my new single!” whilst sharing some sun-kissed pictures on Instagram. The video is directed by Simon Bradley.
