Gregory Dillon has given us countless smashes over the years – the unforgettable Lovely., the seductive gothic Francophone pop of Genevieve, or the anthemic Drive, being a delectable yet small sample. Now the US pop heartthrob is finally ready to deliver his debut album. Whilst all the details regarding the full LP release are yet to be revealed, Gregory has delivered the first single of the project – Burning Kisses.
The star announced the track, sharing: “Burning Kisses is officially the lead single to my first upcoming album and this Friday it’s urs… here is the single art which has been burning in me for a long time so swipe to see and tell me why you think you aren’t getting into heaven.”
Gregory accompanied the track with a heartfelt note, sharing: “We’ve both been through hell this year, and I know how close you’ve come to losing your faith. I don’t know if this song will fix anything, but I hope you hear it and know you’re the reason I’m still fighting. And to my mom—my angel through it all, I love you.”
Gregory co-writes with Angela Renee Mukul and Arthur Besnainou, whilst co-producing with Arthur. The result is number that sees Gregory’s distinctive powerful vocals glide atop pulsating electrifying electronic pop production. Drawing on countless musical stylistic influences, Burning Kisses suggests all from near Gregorian chants (‘Gregorian Dillon?’), a rich sense of musical drama, and truly intoxicating electronic beats.
