It’s not Hyacinth, there’s a new Bouquet in town as Gwen Stefani ends the eight year wait for a new solo album, announcing new LP Bouquet for release on November 15th 2024. The news is accompanied by the release of Somebody Else’s, the second single from the project which follows Blake Shelton collaboration Purple Irises.
Don’t go expecting the rebellious pop attitude of Love. Angel. Music. Baby or the yodelling Sound of Music sampling pop jams from The Sweet Escape, Stefani is channelling seventies ‘yacht rock’ for the album, whilst the Stetson clad No Doubt singer on the cover suggests a light country-rock sound. The musician will release the set through Interscope Records with a plethora of formats available for fans.
Somebody Else’s is a pleasant soft rock meets easy-listening number in which Gwen sounds lovely atop breezy rock-tinged production from Scott Hendricks. The star co-writes with a legion of collaborators including Fred Ball, Henry Walter, Jacob Kasher Hindlin, Jake Torrey, Madison Love and Nick Long.
