Parker McCollum continues on his ascent to the country legend status with another impressive single, What Kinda Man. Texan hunk Parker co-writes with Natalie Hemby and Jeremy Spillman, and is accompanied by production from Frank Liddell and Eric Masse.
The number sees Parker return to his roots with electric guitar, harmonica and big country vocals soundtracking the single. Parker croons about being the man someone needs, not the hellraising troublemaker that he instinctively wants to be on the number, crooning “And you look across the room at me / Forget the man I am, what kinda man do you need?” in the chorus.
Parker shares: “Could not be more excited to share this new music with the world, especially this new single “What Kinda Man.” Lately, I’ve been coming back to this sound and the roots of where I started out. I think this new song is my way of revisiting that and creating something that feels like home to me and my fans. I hope the world loves it.”
Parker also features on Santa Fe with Miranda Lambert which can be heard on Lambert’s freshly released Postcards from Texas LP released this week.
