Polish pop talent LUNA impressed with her 2024 Eurovision Song Contest number The Tower and whilst the number was a casualty of semi-final one, the number proved to be a favourite amongst fans. LUNA continues to express herself through her music with new number Wild West – a number which continues to explore the musician’s progressive pop sound.
LUNA shares: “Wild West is a song that I wrote just before Eurovision, facing numerous challenges and difficulties. The song is a profound reflection on the modern world and its challenges. The song paints today’s reality as a harsh and unpredictable space, where, in order to survive, you have to have thick skin and constantly fight for your place. The title “Wild West” symbolizes a place full of unlimited possibilities, where you can fulfil your dreams, discover yourself and strive to achieve your goals. However, this is not an ideal world, it is not Eden, it is the world we live in. “Wild West” is a space governed by brutal, often ruthless laws that may require us to make difficult decisions and sacrifices.”
The star continues: “”Wild West” was written just before the Eurovision contest. This song gives a profound reflection on the challenges of the modern world. The song paints today’s reality as a harsh and unpredictable place where one must develop a thick skin and constantly fight for their place. The titular “Wild West” symbolizes a land of endless possibilities—a place where dreams can be fulfilled, and where one can discover and pursue their true self. However, it is far from being an ideal world, certainly not Eden. The “Wild West” is governed by brutal and often unforgiving rules that may require difficult decisions and sacrifices.”
LUNA co-writes Wild West with Paul Dixon and Josh McClelland, with the trio also crafting the number’s impressive electronic production.
