COTILLEO is on the lips of Nebulossa in their brand new single which picks up the high energy synth-dance flavour of the Spanish artists’ Eurovision Song Contest entry Zorra. Translating as Gossip the number sees singer Mery Bas deliver a seductive vocal atop keyboardist and producer Mark Dasousa’s scintillating electro beats.
The lyrics translate roughly to English as: “I know what you think but it’s no longer worth it for me, no! / Getting into a back and forth of disagreements, no! / Because of an unfair comment / A piece of shit gossip”, with the Alicante duo channelling a sense of empowering defiance in the high energy number.
Accompanied by a Dangerous Liaisons period set music video from Jau Fornés, COTILLEO sees Nebulossa continue to lean into high camp imagery which made them such fan favourites of the Malmo set Eurovision Song Contest this year.
Here’s to more music from our favourite Spanish duo.
