Mustii channels eighties inspired rock riffs for Tell The Kids It’s Alright, a number which feels soaked in classic influences from Bowie to Iggy Pop, yet still feels distinctively Mustii’s own. The Belgian star delivers his first original music since his underrated Eurovision Song Contest 2024 entry Before the Party’s Over, with his latest track expected to feature on his upcoming third studio album.
The Belgian star notes: It’s a response to ‘Before The Party’s Over,” explaining “In that song I painted a portrait of an anxious generation. ‘TELL THE KIDS IT’S ALRIGHT’ is an attempt to answer the questions raised in BTPO. It’s an encouragement to overcome difficulties and traumas and to come out stronger. It’s also a very personal song about my state of mind in the aftermath of Eurovision, an extraordinary adventure that took me through the worst and the best.“
The lyrics draw on a number of characters each searching for own means to find happiness, with Mustii bringing in an intelligent, compassionate narrative into the number with Arianna Damato, Benoit Leclerq, and Julien Joris co-writing. Benoit Leclerq produces the addictive new number.
