Denmark’s Christopher is currently performing massive dates in South Korea this week, but is also putting out some impressive new music in the form of It Could Have Been Us. The track sees Christopher collaborate with UK singer-songwriter Griff, on an emotional beautifully crafted ballad.
“It could have been us / It could have been love / It could have been easy / But we made it so hard / It could have been something / But I fucked it all up…” the pair sing on the heartfelt chorus of the track which follows Christopher’s previous single ONE. Christopher and Griff co-write with Celine Svanbäck, Elias Kapari, and Jeppe Bilsby London. Kapari and London craft the number’s elegant production.
Christopher shares: “I saw Griff supporting Coldplay in Copenhagen and she just blew me away! Destiny had it that we were both on tour playing gigs in New York in the autumn of 2023. We met up, and as the fan I am, I told her how amazing I think she is, hoping we could collaborate someday. Luckily, she was up for it, and we connected in Stockholm, where I presented the idea of ‘It Could Have Been Us’ to her. She loved it, made it her own, and the result is everything I ever dreamed of.”
Both artists shine on the new number which is expected to feature on Christopher’s as yet unannounced new album which will follow-up to his hugely successful Netflix feature soundtrack A Beautiful Life.
