Music: Beth Ditto Announces Debut Solo LP ‘Fake Sugar’

Gossip frontwoman, Beth Ditto, announces her debut album ‘Fake Sugar‘ will be arriving June 16th courtesy of Columbia Records. The LP is preceded by the single, Fire, which is available to stream now.

Fans of Gossip will remember the band turning to a more electronic synthpop sound for their final studio LP, A Joyful Noise, back in 2012. Ditto previously released a similarly electronic-influenced solo EP the year before. Fire sees the singer embark on darker, rockier territory, a sound that clearly
suits Ditto’s rich vocals. The full tracklist is as follows:
