Jenny Berggren had a successful career with Ace of Base and a subsequently impressive solo career which continues with her latest single Open and Alive. The track is Jenny’s first in seven years since her release Push Play in 2015 – with the artist describing it as her ‘joybattery now for everyone.’
In May, Jenny shared that Open and Alive would be the first single of an upcoming EP that celebrates her fiftieth year. This marks her first full body of work since 2010’s My Story, Jenny’s debut solo album. Open and Alive is buoyant dancepop number brimming with a positive energy. Bouncing electronic production and Jenny’s confident delivery helps the track deliver an uplifting sense of excitement and earworming melody.
