Eurovision 2022 Favourites Romania’s wrs and Cyprus’s Andromache Duet On Mediterranean Inspired Banger ‘If You Were Alone’

We always get a twinge of excitement when Eurovision stars announce surprise collaborations – need we recap our obsession for Charlotte Perrelli and Dana International’s Diva to Diva? Now the class of 2022 are taking a turn as Romanian representative wrs joins forces with Cypriot representative, Greek star Andromache on a new duet If You Were Alone.

Opening with a raw, sparsely accompanied vocal from wrs, a pounding club beat is introduced alongside Andromache’s vocals. Ethereal backing vocals, Mediterranean inspired instrumentation, and slinky drum loops begin to take hold as If You Were Alone successful merges the distinctive musical identities of both artists to craft a delightful euro-friendly collaboration.

The single is accompanied by a Greece set music video shot by Paul Moldovan and edited by wrs. It captures the summer vibes of the track particularly well, whilst also making us want to go on a sexy Greek vacation with wrs and Andromache.
