Chris Lane and Lauren Alaina put a country spin on a pop favourite as they tackle Dancin’ in the Moonlight for Big Loud Records. The duet sees the pair take on the classic melody and titular line, whilst providing a number of neat little adaptations.
The latest single from Chris Lane is written by Brett Tyler, Jesse Frasure and of course original Dancing in the Moonlight scribe Sherman Kelly, with production from Joey Moi. The chorus sees the country pairing croon “Dancing in the moonlight / Everybody knows where to go on a Friday night / Where you can’t see the city lights / Everybody’s dancing in the moonlight…” The result is a feel good country anthem from two likeable talents of the genre.
It is thought that Dancin’ in the Moonlight will be a taste of Chris’s upcoming third album which is set to follow 2018’s Laps Around the Sun.
