We had the pleasure of chatting with Italian musical icon Achille Lauro about stepping onto the Eurovision Song Contest stage in Turin with his powerful entry Stripper. The musician soared to victory during San Marino’s Una Voce per San Marino with the song which has quickly become one of the contest’s most talked about tracks.
Achille shared details about Stripper’s power as a manifesto of freedom, the importance of making music without adhering to genres and labels, and the choice to bring English language into the track. Achille also delved into why he is enjoying the 2022 entries and the power of fashion as a means of projecting ‘the soul of the song.’
Achille will take to the stage on Thursday 12th of May with Stripper in the second Eurovision Song Contest semi-final. Judging by the rehearsal footage and Achille’s passion as a performer, Stripper is set to be one of the highlights of the 2022 Eurovision season.
