“Coming in like a Western Wind / Do you feel home from all directions / First bloom, you know it’s spring / Reminding me love that it’s all connected…” Carly Rae Jepsen sings on Western Wind which she co-writes with producer Rostam Batmanglij.
The track is a testament to Carly’s ability to craft a chilled vibe as the it gently eases us into the Spring season. The breezy number sees Carly pay tribute to California weather and the light, woozy romance of the Spring period.
Accompanied by a video directed by Taylor Fauntleroy, we see Carly adorn a number of bright pastel flowing garments and explore a sun-lit rural locale in Southern California.
Western Wind is thought to be the first taste of Carly Rae Jepsen’s latest studio album.
