We did it guys! The public and juries of the United Kingdom made a solid choice when they selected SuRie to represent GB at the Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon in May 2018. The former backing-singer for Belgium’s Blanche and Loic Nottet (remember the brilliant City Lights and Rhythm Inside?) and songwriter on her own merits, soared to victory with her track Storm.
The anthemic pop track beat five other finalists (including our guilty pleasure favourites, Goldstone), and marks a shift in the UK’s previously misjudged and immediately dated selections – no offence Lucie Jones.
