Romanian singing duo The Cheeky Girls became a fixture of noughties British pop culture after auditioning for Popstars: The Rivals in 2002. Gabriela and Monica would go on to release two studio albums including 2003’s Party Time, whilst also racking up four top ten singles.
With hits including Cheeky Song (Touch My Bum), Take Your Shoes Off, (Hooray, Hooray!) It’s a Cheeky Holiday! and Christmas single Have a Cheeky Christmas, The Cheeky Girls are hungry for another with Let’s Have Some Fun. The Transylvania-born duo don’t deviate far from their traditional sound with their new single – their first since 2005.
A press release shares: “Written by the twins’ mum, Gabriela said of the song, ‘This is to celebrate the 20-year anniversary. It’s called ‘Let’s Have Fun’. Of course, The Cheeky Girls are all about fun… It’s to celebrate life and just be happy!”
