Sister Sledge reveal their new single Free with original member Debbie Sledge assembling a family collective for the track. The Sledgendary collective sees Debbie joined by her daughter Camille, son David, nephew Thaddeus (son of Joni Sledge) and long term Sister Sledge vocalist Tanya Ti-et for the funky new single.
Debbie shares: “FREE was written to express the sheer release of limits, setbacks and prisons through Love. A release from guilt, shame, past and future hurts, fears, doubts and emotional wounds. FREE is a testimony and a declaration of the freedom Love brings, a celebration of free will and the ability to trust, hope, dream and create. Within Love’s strong arms, there are NO limitations. When Love sets us free, we are free indeed!”
The track is a celebration of love filled with energetic bouncing disco-infused production and the powerhouse vocals that fans associate with the Sister Sledge name. This is a buoyant and funky treat that marks an exciting new future for the world of Sister Sledge and the contemporary new Sledgendary angle.
Free was written by Debbie Sledge, Camille Sledge, Morgann McClanahan, Paul David and Dominic Amato. It was produced by Dominic Amato & Paul David.
