German singer-songwriter Leony has been building up an impressive discography since debuting her original music in 2017 with Surrender. Leony had a particular productive 2021 dropping seven tracks, and the singer looks set to have a similarly successful 2022 with her first release of the year Remedy.
Leony co-writes her latest single with Mark Becker and VitaliZe (Vitali Zestovskih) – who also produce the record. With a chorus that sees the singer conjure up luscious romantic imagery, Leony sings “Got me higher than life, you’re like my remedy / And your touch’s like ecstasy / I know that I can’t fight the chemistry / I’m fallin’ into you…” against bouncing BPMs and nostalgia-flecked, yet very contemporary sounding electropop production.
