Rising pop duo Francesca e Luigi are set to be your next musical obsession. Drawing inspiration from classic Italo disco, the duo make anthems with high drama and pounding synths. The group are fresh from releasing their EP Dirty Disco 2 which follows its predecessor that arrived earlier in the year.
Containing bangers such as Damn You and Go Before You Fucking Waste It, the EP sees sultry impassioned vocals dance atop entrancing, synth-driven melodies with soaring BPMs. The duo capture a sense of high-energy camp throughout the tracks with the latter of these tracks featuring a delicious spoken word interlude “I’m a lying bitch! I’m a lying bitch! And still I am, the best you had.” These songs feel like Dynasty told through the sounds of the Pet Shop Boys – high drama bangers.
The latest EP also includes the mellow colds synths of Caravan of Love and festive bop Christmas Love (And the Snow’s So White).
